Maphepane “Pepsi” Baiocco

CEO of NeOn Energy (Pty) Ltd.

Maphepane “Pepsi” Baiocco is the CEO of NeOn Energy (Pty) Ltd. she is also the Founder & President of the Medical Device Manufacturing. One of the first few 3-ply medical surgical masks manufacturing companies in South Africa. She has an experience of more than 19 years in the manufacturing industry both locally and in Europe, with a history of working in the automotive and photovoltaics manufacturing Companies.

She went up the ranks through different levels of management positions including production manager in diverse companies before she became a Chief Executive of Neon Energy. A company she has been successfully running for the past eight years. She sits on the advisory board (Renewable Energy Committee) of Neon Green Power in Bahrain-Middle East. She is also a board member of the Camera di Commercio e Industria Italo-Sud Africana.

She has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Administration at the University of the Free State (Bloemfontein) and completed her Strategic Management Diploma at University of Nelson Mandela (Port Elizabeth). She has completed a one- year business programme sponsored by J.P Morgan at GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science) Business school. She has also completed the UK – South Africa Green Tech programme at the Future Female Business School.

She is an active member of IoDSA (Institute of Directors of South Africa) and obtained a certificate of Governance and Ethics (King IV). She is a member of Graca Machel Trust, Women Creating Wealth-South African Cohort. She is also a member of a Strategic Projects Steering Committee (SP-SteerCo) under the auspices of: Visa Foundation; MasterCard & IDC Foundation and African Development Bank (For Women Entrepreneurs).

She is determined and passionate about industrialization as well as manufacturing. She remains resolute about improving the quality of the basic education system. She is a mother and wife.
