Portia Tau-Sekati leads and drives the transformation of the property Sector, has an extensive knowledge and an specialist in Transformation as driven by the South African legislation framework of Broad Based Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEE).

And Convenes all South African Sector Councils. Assisted and supported many sector councils in various requirement to enable sector councils to successfully set up deliver against their mandate.

Portia has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing and lobbying government, driving stakeholder management, influence collaboration and ultimately that foster good partnerships.

She is currently lecturer at Wits and UCT school of Graduate business School (PDP) and a former Lecturer at Unisa and UJ,- lecturing on Economic Transformation and part of the team that developed Management Development Programme (MDP) curriculum on BBBEE curriculum on behalf DTI.

She had written and champion numerous South African legislation and policies specifically on sustainable inclusive economic strategies for government, State owned Enterprise and Private Sector. Drives the consolidated South African Property Sector Research She is a trustee and Advisor to: World Women Leading change, Current member of the infrastructure committee of the BRICS women Business Alliance the South Africa. Current member of Advisory Board of University of Johannesburg (UJ) Sustainable Material & Construction Technologies (SMaCT) Research Centre. And served and continue to serve in other developmental structures and organisations.

She has won many awards and achievements throughout her career, continues to address many platforms on various topics and aspects on the property sector and strategies on inclusive growth in the country in general.
